Info
John Rylands was a successful Manchester entrepreneur, the Rylands building was constructed in the 1930s as a show of prosperity and ambition. Now the iconic Manchester Building is being sensitively restored, Fabrik are proud to be working engineering the unitised curtain walling system on the rooftop extension and ground floor retail facades along with provided thermal and condensation risk analysis.
Working with existing structure has its challenges when combined with modern facade design, not least with additional loading and consideration of building movements (high ground beam deflections being a particular challenge!).
